Frequently Asked Questions

01

How far in advance should I book my move?

It’s best to book your move with Elite Moving & Storage as early as possible, especially during peak moving times like summer and weekends. Reserving your moving date a few weeks ahead gives you the best chance of securing the time you want, allows our movers in the Chicagoland area time for proper planning, and helps avoid last-minute stress.

02

What items are movers not allowed to transport?

For safety and legal reasons, movers cannot transport hazardous or prohibited items. This includes flammable materials, explosives, chemicals, propane tanks, gasoline, firearms, ammunition, and illegal substances. Perishable food, plants, and pets are also not allowed on the moving truck. Our team can provide a full list ahead of your move so you know exactly what to pack separately.

03

Do you offer packing and unpacking services?

Yes. Elite Moving & Storage offers full and partial packing and unpacking services. Whether you need help packing your entire home or just fragile items like dishes, artwork, or electronics, our professional movers use high-quality materials and proven techniques to keep everything protected and organized.

04

How does Elite Moving & Storage protect my furniture during a move?

We use professional-grade moving blankets, stretch wrap, padding, and proper loading techniques to protect your furniture throughout the move. Larger items are carefully wrapped and secured inside the truck to prevent shifting, scratches, or damage. Our experienced movers handle each piece with care from pickup to delivery.
